Here we have the very strong and very stretchy Giant Microbes Muscle Cell Myocyte. This Giant Microbe represents muscle cells very well as the cells in real life expand and retract, this does also. This is great as an educational tool.

How many muscle types are there? Do you know? There are 3 altogether.  They are cardiac (the involuntary thumping muscles found in the heart) so the bits that makes your heart work and pump (you would be dead without these ones), smooth (the involuntary muscles such as those that line blood vessels, the gastro-intestinal tract, and the lungs, you would also be dead without these as well) and skeletal (the familiar muscles attached by tendons to bones),these are the ones that I lack, I used to have some years ago but they have since disappeared under a load of fat cells. But skeletal muscle cells are the most common. They represent the bulk of the soft tissue in animals.
